A startling 26 percent of women in Orange County identify as victims of domestic violence. In 2017 alone, local law enforcement responded to 8,452 domestic violence calls nearly one call every hour of every day. 88 lots are up for debate at today’s city council meeting in Santa Ana. The city wants to privatize these lands for their own benefit and their own pockets. We are having a housing crisis in Santa Ana, and this crisis exacerbates domestic violence because many women do not have the financial means to leave their homes. Those that do leave end up homeless. A lot of the women affected by this gentrification are women of color and undocumented women. Let’s take the people’s land back from greedy hands. Housing justice is reproductive justice! Hope y’all come out today!

Cheer up on this rainy day with a beautifully written letter to Cyntonia Brown. The struggles of women of color are intersectional and we need to hold each other up in the face of the military industrial complex #freecyntonia #freemigrantwomxn

https://www.courthousenews.com/trump-admin-opposes-ongoin/ Being able to afford, get proper diagnosis, and be subject to needed treatment of trauma imposed by the deportation system was already extremely difficult for detained-and-released migrants. The Trump Administration wants it to be near-impossible.
