Spooky October Book Recommendations from Carmel Valley library American dolls Kristen and Ady include not only children's books you see on the picture, but YA books, as well as adult reads. Young adult readers will enjoy the following: "The Burning" by Laura Bates-... A good read for teen girls, as it reveals the consequences of using social media in a naive way. "Through the Woods" by Emily Carroll- What a visual graphic novel to go through to experience the power of color in art and storytelling. "The Good Demon" by Jimmy Cajoleas- Intoxicating and thrilling read about teen's search for her parted true identity. Adult picks are as follows: "The Stranger on the Beach" by Michele Campbell- Psychological drama with quite an unpredictable ending. "Lazarus" by Lars Kepler- Lars Kepler is pseudonym for married Swedish couple who bring back the most notorious serial killer into their series. Is the killer back from the dead? Only the book will tell... "One By One" by Ruth Ware- If you enjoy Agatha Christie's books, try Ruth Ware's newest book. What are you reading during Halloween time? Any recommendations?
We know you miss browsing the stacks, so the staff have put together book bundles of popular characters and genres. Learn how to request a book bundle and find your next great read!
