May 13, 2020 Greetings Oaks children and families! We miss you all so much! You may have seen the message on our website, www.oakschildrenscenter.com, that we are now anticipating reopening on August 3 for an early start to our 2020-2021 school year!... Please keep checking our website, however--as you know, change happens sometimes very quickly during this current worldwide pandemic emergency. We will continue to pray for your family's health and safety and hope to see you in August!

OCC Families, On Sunday, March 15, we received information that all school districts in Kern County were planning a closure. Here is the statement that matters most: Out of an abundance of caution, to minimize the spread of COVID-19 throughout Kern County, we are recommending a temporary closure of all Kern County public schools. This recommendation also applies to preschools and charter schools in Kern County.... Here is the link to the entire announcement: https://kern.org/2020//15/letter-to-the-community-covid-19/ The Oaks Children’s Center board met last night and decided to comply with Kern County Public Health and KCSOS recommendation to close. Oaks Children’s Center Closure dates (updated 5/15/2020): As of this updated post, the Kern County Superintendent of Schools has decided to keep all schools closed for the summer. With this in mind, we have also decided to remain closed for the summer. We are now planning to reopen early for our 2020-2021 school year on August 3.
