Here for the spring and summer? Want to work in or hang out in OBSA? Note the amended OBSA spring/summer swipe schedule: OBSA is open and doors are unlocked from 9am-12pm and 1pm-4:30pm M-F. Doors to both the bungalow and main house will be locked all other times, so swipe access will be available outside of normal business hours or on the weekends. Extended swipe access can be granted on a limited basis by request to [email protected] with your ID#. Our more flexible facility access schedule will resume beginning fall 2017. Please also note that visitors to OBSA may not smoke, drink, stay overnight or have overnight guests in the main house or bungalow for any reason, and all users of the center are responsible for disposing of trash and removing food. From March 30-April 2, 2017, OBSA staff and student volunteers organized and hosted the first Black Intersections Conference at The Claremont Colleges. The Conference was developed to highlight and address global concerns facing communities of African descent and to provide space to discuss and publish historical and contemporary works about acts of dissent, empowerment and freedom. Participants included students, faculty and staff from The Claremont Colleges and students fr...om University of LaVerne, Cal Poly Pomona and others. Conference events occurred at Tranquada Center, Scripps College, Pomona College and the Office of Black Student Affairs.
