It's berry season! But what can you do with all those berries? We will cover different ways to preserve berries. This particular class is all about using preserved frozen berries in tested recipes. We're going to kick it up a notch by taking those recipes and turning them into family favorites. Some of the things we will feature are BBQ sauce, hand pies and bar cookies to just name a few ways you can use your preserved berries. Have you ever opened a jar of product you spent time and money on and found the underside of the lid to be speckled with rust or blackened? One would definitely wonder, is the food safe to eat? Here is an article on this subject: https://www.healthycanning.com/pinholing/
A great read on the science of home food preservation.
