Dear sisters & brothers of the San Bernardino stake- It has been so wonderful to see some of you in person during interviews and when setting you apart for callings! How we miss being all together! What we have heard most often is the overwhelming desire you have to gather together in church again. It is for this very reason that we reach out to all of the saints in our stake. We ask that this coming Sunday, 18 October 2020, be set aside as a special day of fasting and pra...yer for our stake. In Joel 2: 12 we read, Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting. If we unitedly plead with the Lord to grant unto us our greatest desire of returning to church, we are confident He will hear us as we humble ourselves and pour out our hearts to Him. While all things are to be done according to His will and timing, we will become a better people as we patiently wait upon Him. For those who are not able to fast from food and water, we ask you to consider fasting from something else, such as social media something to show the Lord our sincere desire to humble ourselves before Him as we ask for the restrictions to be lifted and for us to gather once again. How we love you, brothers and sisters; we know He loves you and watches over you, especially in times of trials. The Savior Jesus Christ understands and has felt our heavy hearts, yet He offers peace amidst the challenges of these times. To all the young adults who have been struggling to get through this lockdown brought about by COVID-19. As Bishop of the North Park YSA Ward I am announcing that it’s time for us to return to church in person. Not only have I felt that the time has come for us to return, but also the brethren of the church have said that it is essential for the YOUNG adults to return. I am excited to announce that this coming Sunday October 17 at 9:00 am we will be having sacrament meeting ...at the Northpark building, 1475 Northpark Blvd San Bernardino CA 92407. Please bring a mask and observe social distancing, these are the instructions from our church leaders. I am so glad that our Prophet and apostles have prepared us for what we have been through. Now let’s get together and strengthen each other in person. I look forward to seeing you and if this is your first time coming to the North Park Ward I look forward to meeting you. Virtual Stake Conference Sunday at 10:00am You are cordially invited to attend the San Bernardino Stake Conference to be held Sunday, September 27, 2020, at 10:00 AM. Elder Marcus B. Nash of The Seventy will be presiding along with Elder Kevin K. Miskin. Elder Nash has asked that each member invite someone else to attend, preferably someone who would not otherwise do so. Elder Nash has promised us that if we are faithful in this regard our stake conference participation wi...ll double. This will prove to be a memorable event as we prepare ourselves to listen to the Spirit and receive revelation as we go forward with faith in these the Latter-days. May the Lord continue to bless you in your efforts to hear Him.
