I love giving people gifts! Seeing their face light up, knowing that I was thinking of them, it is a dopamine rush that can't be beat. Especially after the year we all just had, what are you doing to spread joy? I love a pair of earrings that are fit for Zoom calls and a bouquet of local flowers! What have you gifted to friends lately?

Do you ever struggle to help your outfit feel "finished?" It has taken me YEARS to feel comfortable in my own skin, and therefore, my clothing. Sometimes I still feel off. That, for me, is where jewelry comes in. It helps me express myself and feel like I am presenting my best, most polished self out into the world. Without it, I tend to feel unfinished. My other favorite thing about jewelry? At least for my favorites -necklaces and earrings- it always fits!

It is camping season! Every year we head off with friends to unplug, swim, catch some fish and enjoy the sunshine. I only started camping in 2017 and I cannot imagine my life without it- so much so that I am honestly a little disappointed when we need to do an airbnb or hotel. I bring my favorite pair of earrings, sweats, and lots of delicious food. Personal story: Sometimes I forget that I have a tattoo. I got it at 19, after dreaming about it for a few weeks. For something so permanent, it wasn't heavily considered. It just felt natural. 19 year old me certainly isn't the same as 32 year old me- but she was pretty wise. Lots of people hypothesized that I got it because of "feminine energy" and feminism: which as I've gotten older, I've certainly started to embrace those themes much more fiercely and confidently than I... did when I was younger, to be sure. However, at 19, I was drawn to the phases of the moon. Simply because you can't see a portion of it doesn't mean it isn't there, and the changing shapes as it waxes and wanes doesn't change the core of who, or what, the moon is. Please just ask my parents and my partner how I will stare transfixed out the window along any coastal route scanning for whale spouts, or how we must stop to pet all the dogs (or horses!) along out path. Bonus points are awarded because of how the moon also controls the tides- if I could live in a shack on stilts at the edge of the water, I'd happily stay there until the sea took it back. Thank you 19 year old me for the permission to change and evolve while remaining steadfast in my ideals, passions and whimsy. Rainbows on a Sunday...I’m a happy camper. @cabinemonde just posted a killer DIY for how to clean brass jewelry with #barkeepersfriend ! I include cleaning cards with my pieces using baking soda + a little lemon but above all...I love using polishing cloths available in my shop. I also include small sample cloths in each purchase over $35!

Letting this week wash over me... *no earrings were lost in the taking of this photo* Did you know my pieces hold up really well against water ? It’s not 100% advisable, and I’ve made no sales to any known mermaids, but I have had pieces for years and they do just fine taking a dip in the water every once in a while. You can always use a polishing cloth to clean up any smudges or patina. Easy and elegant!
