Ok real struggle... I’m learning & growing through reading about the existence of racism in our country & specifically within the church. Why read about racism... and religion? 1. It was NEVER ONCE mentioned or taught in my Bible College or Seminary. I spent 14 years matriculating with a BS in Sociology & Christian Education, Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership & Doctorate of Ministry. Not one class or section on race and it’s polarizing impact on Christianity. 2. I love the church. My concern for the church and for the well-being of its people, motivates my exploration of its complicity in racism.
