We sure hope that everyone had as great of a day as we did! We successfully completed 20 feline spays and neuters that all went home to their families. We sold a gorgeous great filly from our ranch to a verrry deserving, sweet lady! We also treated the worst case of dog vs porcupine I have ever heard of let alone witnessed. It took our assistant and I 3 hours to fully removed exposed quills and excise embedded quills. Over 500 quills were removed. This sweet baby’s momma was ...worried sick about her and also unforeseen vet bills. As she waited patiently great samaritans from our community , public members and the great women of SNIP, surprised us all by generously helping the cause financially. It is so amazing to see out of all the ugly events and the few ugly individuals of this area that there are outstanding members of our society. Stories of good samaritans always make us hopeful and we hope that sharing this story will invoke the same feelings in all of you! Ranchers, farmers and families of Dorris adjacent to this rapidly growing (while still fairly small) fire we pray for you and your property, pets and family. God speed to firefighters and volunteers to get this quickly contained as it has potential to take off as it is climbing an extremely steep/roadless mountain. If we can assist in anyway (god willing; there is no need) we are here if any animals are harmed or if anyone needs a helping hand. God bless Kota and Kelsey

Do we have any interest / need for feline and canine dentals? Have had a ton of appointments made for the last clinics and then people do not show for their appointments so we are on the verge of not continuing to offer them and will only be doing them as individual full rate dental procedures.. a standard dental will run anywhere from 500-1000 dollars as a national benchmark, not clinic specific prices. Our dentals end up under 200 dollars, because we are in a low income cou...nty, and the only additional fees are if we have to do antibiotics, other procedures at same time (this time of year foxtail removals) or surgical removal of oral tumors etc. we will not charge outrageous fees for tooth extractions as we believe that is part of a dental and if a tooth is broken/bad but not infected or loose in little dogs we will never take the risk of breaking your baby’s jaw, which frequently happens in hospitals. We strive to offer low cost procedures in our area so that animals can receive the care that they need, that is otherwise avoided because clients have families, businesses and lives they have to take into account as well. So it’s been brought to our attention that people believe SNIP and C.A.M. are all one organization. This however, is not the case. C.A.M. is the provider of the services your animal receives (spay, neuter, dental, etc.), not SNIP. When you call the SNIP phone which is monitored by SNIP volunteers ( not 24/7), you are NOT in contact with C.A.M. Every patient is sent home with an aftercare surgical form, on this form it clarifies what you should and should not allow after surge...ry. Along with our phone number to call if any concerns or questions come up. You can contact C.A.M. at either of these phone numbers or our Facebook page. If we don’t don’t answer right away please send us a text, we are a mobile clinic so cell service is spotty and things don’t always come through how they should. Our doctor is down extremely ill today. He won’t be taking any calls. Hopefully he will be back up and at it tomorrow to return to his normal 16 hour days. We are so sorry if this inconveniences anyone. This is the first day he has been out in approximately 8 months and with his stress levels it is no surprise it caught up. As it warms up and our animals will innately want to spend more time out during the day and especially the night, it is important that they are protected from all the other local predators . Predators large and small, mammal and non mammal, viruses and bacteria as-well-as the predators that deliver fines for lack of vaccination. We strive to support our community with rock bottom prices year round, always offering our rabies for 10 dollars without t...he heinous office fees, exam fees, supply fees, fees for wearing the wrong colored shirt fees etc. However, for the next two weekends we are going to really strive to elevate our animals population immunity in this county. On Saturday May 11th and Friday may 17th please come visit us for vaccinations between 2-4pm and on Sunday May 12th and Saturday May 18th between 12-2pm at 1113 S Main Street yreka for $8 dollar rabies and further discounted parvovirus/distemper/leptospirosis combo shots. If you have an appointment scheduled for other reasons during the next two weeks definitely ask us about vaccinations for your furred family members. It is that time of year where we all start to rodeo, ranch rodeo, trail ride, show etc... what is the one thing in common with all of them? Every discipline requires a well balanced mouth that the bit can sit comfortably in, that can chew the expensive feed and make every ounce of nutrition accessible to the equine intestine for absorption! For the month of April we will be offering floats for $150 out the door (sedation, float, exam) for all of our equine patients. Over the ...last year we have done a couple hundred mouths and would love to better that number and the experience level to come with it.
