The American Psychological Association's Text, Talk, Act uses text messaging to deliver content and information to youth through their cell phones. Teens can t...ext 89800 to APA to engage in mental health activities. Teens can learn about how to take care of their mental health, focusing on challenges related to COVID-19, and how to reach out to their parents/guardians to start a conversation around mental health. The text messages include polling questions, discussion questions, videos and social media interactions.

It takes courage and vulnerability to share your emotional injuries and healing journey with the ones you love. It can also be an opportunity for your partner t...o show their support and understanding. Set aside intentional time for you and your partner to answer these questions. When you and your partner are ready to work through this exercise, choose a time when you are both feeling relaxed and can be uninterrupted. Put away distractions like your phone. You may find it helpful to write your responses down first before sharing them out loud with one another. While this exercise should inspire conversation, it can be long, complex, and requires deep empathy and listening. For some, these questions may be best explored with the help of a professional. Take your time, revisit these prompts as needed, and come back to them another time if you're feeling overwhelmed.

I’m frequently misunderstood; I think I’m being straightforward, but others see it as abrasive. Then I have to offer long explanations of what I REALLY meant. Anyone else have this problem?

Practice rituals of connection that bring the whole family together this winter. Shared meaning enriches relationships by establishing traditions and rituals of... connection that link you together and lead you to understand who you are as a couple and family. These rituals can symbolize cultural identity and values you share with your family, ensure that you're taking time for emotional connection, help you to process your feelings as you move through life’s transitions, and stay connected despite your conflicts. The more shared meaning you can find, the deeper, richer, and more rewarding your relationships will be.
