Because of the circumstances surrounding Coronoavirus COVI-19 we are limiting our business hours to 9-2pm Monday through Thursdays. During these hours we will be available for pick ups of glasses and contact lenses and to provide emergency care services only. This unfortunately does not include routine eye exams. Emergency services are defined as: Medical eye related emergencies these include infections, abrasions or contact lens related complications such as corneal ulce...rs which could potentially harm your vision. Please see the announcements section of our website or here on this facebook page to see a description of symptoms related to such conditions. Emergency exams - for those in need of moderate to high corrections who have lost glasses, run out of contacts and are thus unable to function without them. These are appointments limited so that we can maintain an occupancy of only 3 people in the office at a time. Exam time will be as time efficient as possible to keep exposure time down. Our doctor will be wearing the appropriate mask. These appointments must be pre-arranged. We ask that you call ahead of time to arrange pick ups of materials and that all balances are paid upon delivery. Further adjustments must be postponed until these restrictions are lifted but unfortunately no time frame for that is yet available. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. This is a difficult and trying situation for all involved. We will do our best to provide as much care as we can.
Hello and I hope this message finds you well. The current situation has certainly caught us by surprise and it's easy to feel uneasy. I know we are all hoping to see things return to normal soon and they will. In the meantime I would like to assure you that we are taking extra measures to ensure the health and well being of our patients and our staff. I thought it would be helpful for you to see the steps and protocols we have implemented. Even in these extra ordinary circumstances, your eye care is still important. I want you to know that our commitment to help and serve you is as strong as ever. We're here for you. Take care and stay in touch. I wish you and your loved ones continued good health. Just hang in there and keep calm, I know we will get through this. Sincerely, Dr Guiang
Work continues on the exterior of Mira Mesa Mall now known as Village of Mira Mesa. Thank you for your patience...lots of banging and drilling unfortunately. We're happy to note that today they installed our new sign! Just a reminder that we are open our regular hours during this remodel.
My daughter asked me about LASIK after being accepted into the Peace Corps. She will be heading out for her assignment later this year. As you can imagine freedom from glasses and contacts would be advantageous for many reasons in her case. So as I do with all my patients I entrusted her to Dr. Parikh at Nvision. I have co-managed and sent my patients to Nvision for many years. Their professionalism, commitment to the patient’s welfare and dedication to having the best technology has kept me referring to them. Again, they did not disappoint. It’s because of them that my daughter now has perfect vision without correction and is ready to embark on her journey. Thank you Dr Parikh and staff at Nvision.
On behalf of all of us here at Mira Mesa Optometry I would like to extend my best wishes for a happy holiday season. We are privileged to have incredible patients like you and are truly grateful that you allow us to handle your eye care needs. As we move into not only a new year but a new decade, we pledge our continued commitment to providing the best care for you. Have a wonderful new year and thank you for your continued support and patronage. Here's to you! Dr Guiang
We are truly grateful that you entrust us with your eye care needs. Here's wishing you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving holiday.
Happy Halloween all....seeing patients today in my Starfleet Medical uniform
Construction has started around MMO. As they say....pardon the dust while these improvements are going on. Thanks for your patience.
It's that time of year again. Think about getting a flu shot to help protect you from getting it or decreasing the effects if you do.
When you visit our mall it's pretty easy to see that there's a lot of construction and exterior modifications taking place. The entire mall is undergoing an extensive renovation that will bring new and exciting changes. The mall will be given a new fresh/updated look and will also be renamed The Village of Mira Mesa. The next phase of construction will begin on Monday September 16th and this will include modifications around the exterior of our office. So if you see a bunch of stuff going on around our entrance, no worries we will be open for regular business hours throughout the construction. They're hoping to complete it before year's end. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
From all of us here at MMO....we wish you a safe and happy 4th of July
Had the honor of working with Healing California again today to provide eye exams for homeless vets at the Stand Down event downtown. What a great thing they do. Also worked with a former MMO staff member, Cole Townsend, who did an amazing job pretesting patients.
In honor of those who have served, Mira Mesa Optometry will be closed on Monday 5/27. Wishing you and yours a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.
