I rescue dogs from local shelters and keep them for 3-4 months to go through training and getting them healthy. I make sure that they have a better chance of staying in their new home by finding out behavior issues that may have had them sent back to the pound. ----------... Kiki came from the Yuba County Animal Control in October 2020. Kiki was so shy and scared that she would cower in the back of her kennel and had to be carried out to see me. When I brought her home it took three days just to have her come close to me to pet. She does have a thing about tall men and it took almost 3 months for her to sit next to my husband and let him pet her. She is shy of new people, but she warms up quickly when they let her come to them. She does well with children and enjoys walks with them! ---------- Maka came from the Yuba City Animal Shelter in November 2020. Maka HAD severe food aggression towards the other dogs and couldn't even eat with the others. Now she tolerates them and finishes her food with no growling and fights. She is great with children and LOVES to cuddle with them! She is great on the leash and loves going new places! ---------- Both Kiki and Maka didn't have any training and had to start with the basics. They were not even house broken. Now Maka rings a bell to go outside. Kiki just stands at the door. They are wonderful dogs and will be a great addition to any home. ---------- Due to Mile Mutts moving their rehoming fee has been lowered! They deserve a great home and loving family! Be sure to contact me if you are interested in adding eaither Kiki or Maka to your family! Mile Mutts Dog Training It is with sadness that I announce Mile Mutts will be closing June 30, 2021. To make sure that training does not end abruptly for my current clients, I will not be accepting any new clients after May 15, 2021. The reasons for closing are due to moving and starting to work with a Mentor to better build my business and to become a more effective trainer. Working with a mentor will help me identify and achieve training goals that I may be missing to help ...my training, as well as my business, grow! I have enjoyed working with all of my clients to create a clear and consistent communication between them and their canine family. Remember, I am still accepting new clients until May 15, 2021! Be sure to schedule a session before that time to start training!
