The Michael Hittleman Gallery has acquired Le Soupirant, an oil on canvas by Yohanan Simon. The title refers to a suitor or lover.

Michael Hittleman Gallery has just acquired Zoya Cherkassky's "A Toast," an acrylic on cardboard work depicting a family meal in the Soviet Union just before its collapse. Zoya is one of the founders of the New Barbizon School in Israel. Her works depict contemporary Israeli society and also the Little Africa neighborhood of Tel Aviv. She showed this summer at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem and has more museum shows coming up.

The Michael Hittleman Gallery has acquired a Bezalel "Rachel" brooch, c. 1920, by Ze'ev Raban. The silver and silver filigree brooch is stamped "Made in Palestine" and "925."

We have a new artist at the gallery, Zeina Barakeh, a Palestinian/Lebanese artist. She is a video, animation, installation artist currently living in San Francisco. We have acquired her monumental print, Trojan Accords.

Just returned from the art fairs in NYC where we acquired this beautiful bronze sculpture by Sigalit Landau, who is arguably the most important artist working in Israel today. The work is Orla in the Rye and is from her work using the Little Match Seller from Hans Christian Andersen.

We have received a magnificent screenprint from the late Menashe Kadishman's daughter, Maya. The work is entitled "Theodor Herzl on the Balcony Overlooking Tel Aviv." It is one of Kadishman's great creations. One of the few copies left, it is stamped with his estate stamp and signed by Maya Kadishman.

The gallery has just acquired a mini painting by Samuel Tepler. Entitled Flower Vase it is a beautiful example of Tepler's still life prowess. This Italian trained Israeli still life master's works are masterpieces of color and form.

The gallery has acquired an etching, Mothering of Roses, by Sigalit Landau, Israel's most acclaimed contemporary artist. The work was printed at the Gottesman Etching Center at Kibbutz Cabri.
