Tomorrow is Mother’s Day!! Hope you are treating your mom to something special like taking her to Rocco’s Brunch event and ordering a momosa! We will be serving all our delicious brunch menu specials like prawn omelette, crab cake Benedict’s, poached eggs in sweet tomato Basil marina, homemade buttermilk biscuits... and the list goes on. We will also have outdoor tables set up in the street as tomorrow is our first Sunday Streets San Francisco which means they close Folsom down between 7th & 8th but there will still be plenty of parking near there. We are excited to announce we will be opening.... WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 10TH!!! We will be open Wednesday’s through Saturday’s with breakfast/ lunch 10am-2pm and dinner 4pm-8pm. We sincerely apologize we are not opening at the time previously stated; January 20th due to the restrictions still in place. We thought restrictions would lessen by then and would be able to seat outside. We will try to open up early February and keep you posted. We are sorry for this inconvience maybe we can celebrate together for a nice Valentine’s Day! Next time we will make sure to know 100% our opening date before letting you know. Hello Rocco’s Family! As seen in our last article and heard before, we were planning on opening January 6th and due to an increase of SIP we have decided to push back our re-opening date. We are now going to open JANUARY 20TH for breakfast, lunch and dinner! As well as another insituition such as ourselves, called Cable Car Clothiers both of us explaining the struggles of a small business in a pandemic. We know 2021 will be a pivotal year for small businesses and it means so much to have support from you all, so we can keep this institution alive! We miss our customers dearly, the lines out the door, hol...iday cheer over cioppino, and the bells and horns honking for pickup as our customers, but really our friends, kept us going! On our last day before shut down again we had the best turnout all year and it warmed my heart to see the support from everyone. We received so many Holiday cards, wishes, prayers, and generous gifts from everyone. Not only were people ordering 1 dish but 2, maybe 3 because they said they won’t be seeing us until we open again so we need our Rocco’s fix. They ate one dish with us and 2 to take home. Unfortunately with covid cases increasing, shutdowns, and very slow turnover at the restaurant we will be closing most likely until Mid January. Today is our last day this week to get your homemade tomato Basil soup! You can have it with a delicious grilled cheese sandwich or we have a Petrale sole sandwich with tomato, tartar and avocado! Our other two specials tonight are: Petrale Sole sautéed piccata in Lemon butter caper sauce served with pesto pasta & we also have grilled Petrale Sole with grilled vegetables for a lighter option. I’ve had customers who come back week after week for 30 years. I miss the interaction, music, hustle & bussle, bells and horns honking for order pick up and the sounds a busy restaurant makes. Its good knowing I can still make my customers happy sending them off with a hot homestyle meal even if it’s in the comforts of their own home.
