Reminder, June 15th, 2nd quarter estimated taxes are due.

Did my taxes today and got a happy surprise, that Prius Plug In I bought last year came with a $2500 tax deduction! It ain't the sexiest vehicle around but between the gas savings, carpool stickers and now this, it was definitely the best financial decision I made in 2014!!

Ok procrastinators....of which I am one....9 more days til Uncle Sam wants to know what went down in 2014! I'll start by installing Turbo Tax tomorrow :)

Mac users, if you received a notice that you must upgrade QuickBooks for versions 2012 and earlier, that is NOT necessarily the case. Only if you use internet based options do you need to upgrade. For example, downloading bank statements or processing payroll through QBS. If you do not use the internet with QBS then the program will still work just fine and no upgrade is necessary :)

Anyone get their taxes done yet? One month to go....I need to get to mine :)

QuickBooks for therapists workshop 2/13/15 in Los Gatos Is 2015 the year you get your private practice books in order? This 90-minute workshop will help get you acquainted with QuickBooks accounting software, give you an overview of basic bookkeeping standards for therapists in private practice, and help you determine if QuickBooks is the right option for you. We will cover opening ...a new file, setting up a Chart of Accounts, Invoicing and making deposits, entering business expenses and running reports for completing your Schedule C. Tax deductible workshop fee is $75.00 and includes 1.5 CEU’s. Training will be held on Friday 2/13/15 from 1:00-2:30pm at 405 Alberto Way, Ste. A, Los Gatos and is on the current (2015) version of QuickBooks Pro for the PC.
