The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) must be updated annually, be aligned to eight areas identified as state priorities, and describe the school district’s overall vision for students, annual goals, and specific actions the district will take to achieve the vision and achievement targets. This year, in addition to the LCAP, the state is requiring that districts complete several other documents describing how MDUSD will target support for African American students, English learners, foster youth, students experiencing homelessness, students with unique needs, and how we plan to coordinate academic and social-emotional support to increase student achievement and success.

Today we celebrate and honor Cesar Chavez, whose lifetime of achievements for workers rights has left an enduring legacy, an exemplary representation of the strength that comes when we are united.

Brief update: With a new hybrid reopening timeline approved (March 25 and March 29), the MDUSD Governing Board plans to meet on Friday to vote on available tentative agreements with unions. More details at mdusd.org/2020-21
