There is an ebb and flow to the type of appraisal work we do. Sometimes there is a little work and other times there is a lot of work. Typically things slow down through the holidays and don't pick up until after February. It is understandable because people get very busy during this time period. Say someone wants to sell their house to a friend or relative but they don't know what their house is worth. I often get calls from people to determine the Market Value of their house to help them decide what to sell their house for. They may want to sell it to a friend or relative for less but at least they have a better idea what the house is worth.
