This is the finishing tri-set of what is deemed, a bro day workout... 1 Incline bench dumbbells flys x 12 2 Incline bench reverse flys x 12 3 dumbbell lateral raise x 12... Perform all exercises back to back to back followed by a short 60 second rest and repeat 2-4x. (Yes, this video is sped up for quickness of watching. I don’t workout like a chipmunk) The preface to this included dumbbell bench, landmine press, low row, lat pull down all done at a lower intensity of 10-12 reps. The bread and butter of my workout programs consist of low volume strength training (3-8 reps) but I’ve found I respond best to that style of training only 1-2x per week. I use bro days as fillers to my strength days for quick, efficient, low intensity workouts that get the blood thumping (who doesn’t love a great pump) and leave me feeling more energized than when I started. The pairing of strength training with hypertrophy (muscle growth) is also advantageous for aesthetics, and anyone who says they workout but don’t care how they look, is simply lying to themselves... I design all my clients (in this case my own) programs individually to meet their goals and needs. Friday core work... This half kneeling cable chop is a great exercise to get the entire core firing. Great for anyone looking to hit all them angles of the core, which everyone should be doing.... For my client Jamie who has recently taken up golf and is looking to add some power to her swing, this exercise allows us to build strength and power within the abs and obliques that is easily transferable to her golf game.
