I am so excited to announce the launch of our non-profit programChefs for People with my chef co-founder Terry Betts. We created this program to help address the staggering growth in food insecurity during the pandemic. US Census Bureau published results of a survey in which nearly 30 million out of 249 million respondents said they did not have enough to eat at some point in the week before July 21. And, food insecurity disproportionately affects communities of color, women..., children, senior citizens and people with disabilities, We are a team of independent chefs cooking healthy well-balanced meals for these families and individuals disproportionately by COVID. Our menus are inclusive of dietary needsfree of gluten, dairy and added sugars. To distribute our meals, we are partnering with local organizations such as The East Oakland Collective who are committed to addressing food insecurity in their communities. Chefs for the People program is fiscally sponsored by Upstream Works, a 501(c)(3) organization. Help us expand our program. All donations are tax-deductible.
