Mauka to Makai RV Renovations 27.01.2021

Brrrrr, it’s COLD outside! We recently moved to Apple Valley, CA. The weather and elevation took a little getting use to! I do love wearing sweaters, jackets, leggings, gloves, beanie and thick socks! Anyone has any tips on living in colder environments? It can get as low as 18 degrees at night! They say snow isn’t common but it can happen! This beautiful pic is of the kitchen area in Kani! This space was totally gutted and rebuilt by us! I especially love their choice on the acacia countertop. It’s my favorite!

SIX YEARS MARRIED! Yesterday we celebrated our 6 years of marriage! Normally we fly off somewhere magical but this year we had a COVID anniversary. We stayed home and Joe made the exact dinner he made for me the first day we met. We popped a bottle of @sanfordwinery , I made Cinnabon’s and we danced to our wedding song... Fly Me to the Moon. Wasn’t as adventurous as our normal anniversary celebration but in its own way, it was more magical than any trip. What has been great this year is that 2020 taught us to slow down and to enjoy the little moments. #loveyoutothemoonandback

We extended the dinette out so it does create additional sleeping space for kids. We also knocked out the archway and kept this whole piece seamless. Such a clean look!

Check out Kani’s bathroom! The only thing we kept was the shower pan. It would have been difficult to move everything that was located underneath it. Everything else was a gut! I love the minimalist look of this. It’s simple, clean and the acacia butcher block was even used as a trim here.

Aloha! Meet Kani! Kani in Hawaiian means the sound. An airstream is a tin can and anything that comes its way makes a sound. Sound of rain, snow, hail, wind... it definitely adds to the adventure! We were so excited for another airstream project. They really are magical. I was excited that this build falls during the holidays so just like many of you, holiday decorations was a must! ... I’ll be sharing more photos throughout the week! Follow us to check them out. Aloha! See more
