You can use a bio-enzymatic drain cleaner commonly found in any hardware store. Pour into the overflow and leave for at least 24 hours, rinse out with warm water following manufacturer's instructions.... You should use the bio-enzymatic cleaner in every drain in your house twice a year to help with build-up and odors.
