Today and tomorrow I'm at Valley Baptist church for the Global Leadership Summit. I have so much to be thankful to God for- our new puppy, growing business success, my fiancé, family, brothers Christ and that is just the beginning. Now the Summit begins!

My great grandfather Mills, who is on the horse, homesteaded here in Bakersfield generations ago. And his half sister, Laura Adams, also came to town a long tim...e ago. Like so many of us, I couldn't wait to get out of here but someghow was brought back. I even moved to Hawaii until returning home. There is a reason we come home and pictures like these remind me that it is the people who make us who we are and nurture our neighborhoods into what they become.Beauty comes in many shades and here in Bakersfield we have a unique shade of it. Now, business part of this post is that I love the hunt for a house to make my clients their home. I enjoy offering options from funding ideas to selling suggestions. I thank God that I am a building block in helping people- similar to what my forefathers did here in Kern. This is the newest member of our family! Her name is Addie and she is a ten week old lab. We've had her for a week today and I can't stop thanking God for sending her our way! Her big brother, Jake, is a 3 year old Texas Walker Hound and the two of them are rarely apart.
