Sunday to Sunday Reflections 7/12-7/19 2020... Word of the Week PERSEVERE Keep sowing the seed. Fruitfulness Come in spite of Frustration." Good readings for the week : The Parable of the Sower of Seed 1. The Seed represents the Word of God. 2. The Sower represents anyone who proclaims the Word of God. 3. The different Soil represents people's hearts responses to the Word of God. The moral lesson of this Parable is that NOT everyone who hears the Word of God will understand and believe. Recap of the : Parable of the Seed Sower A farmer went out to the field to sow seed. As he scattered the seeds, he noticed that the seeds fall on different kinds of soils or grounds. Some seeds fell on a : 1. Hard Path , and the birds came and ate it up. Some people hear the truth , but like hardened paths , they do not let it sink in their hearts . Soon Satan takes the truth away. 2. Rocky Places. These people hear the message with great joy , but like seeds on rocky soil, they do not let it take root. On the outside , they may express great enthusiasm , but inwardly , they do not carefully consider it. 3. Other seed fell among Thorns. The Thorn bushes choke the message of God. It is heard , but people's concern for riches and their worries about life cause the plants to die. Some people are too concerned with what other people think and they worry too much. They may be jealous, angry or concerned about materialism. 4. Other seed fell on Good Soil. It produced a crop 100, 60, or 30 times more than what was planted. This represents the people who heard God's word and believed it. They put their trust in Jesus . Their hearts received the message of the kingdom, and the seed will take root. It takes time to see the fruit and even a small crop is good. Reflections for you : 1. What type of Soil are YOU? 0 Background why We’ve started this weekly reflections. We have a prayer warrior member that is gifted through dreams. I got an urgent call from this prayer warrior with these 2 messages from BVM to be given to me. 1. Our BVM is very happy with our daily prayers and said to continue our prayers. 2. Our BVM gave this assignment to me: To add a reflection topic in line with the Gospel.
