Wow!! It's been a while! We had a great season, we surpassed our goal of 1600 returns by April and done over 100 more since. Thanks to all our hard working professional tax preparers! So drop by if you see the American flags out, that means one of us is there. West Douglas is open Tuesdays, 12-6, Sunrise is open Wednesdays, 12-6 and Greenback is open Thursdays, 12-6.
Happy New Year and Merry Tax Season!! Come join us this Wednesday, Jan. 7th, for our first Taxapooloza Open House. We will be grilling burgers and dogs from 12-2 and answering questions about ACA until close at 6. We will be holding Policies and Procedure this coming weekend, Jan. 10 & 11, be there or be square! The IRS has announced they will start accepting e-files on the 20th....we'll see. So, come on in and get your taxes done!!
A very Happy Christmas to everybody! We're gearing up for an interesting tax year, our graduates are learning LibTax, we're making our ACA calls and our returning preparers are finishing up their CE hours. Some personal improvements this year are: Mike became an Enrolled Agent this summer, he can now practice before the IRS, that means he can represent a taxpayer. What a great additional service we can offer our clients! Katie became a licensed Life and Health insurance agent, another service we can offer to our clients. She hasn't gotten appointed to any carriers yet, it's just a matter of time. Have a wonderful holiday, stay safe and we'll see you next year!
This year's tax schools are almost finished (two are done, Linda's class has a couple more weeks). Katie has become licensed to sell health insurance, she can even sell through Covered California! Next tax season will certainly be an interesting one with all the ACA stuff. Come in and see us!
Well, the tax classes are done and we have a wonderful group of graduates to choose from. Early season training will start shortly and we will hire the cream of the crop, a couple of other Zee's have asked us to send any we don't hire their way, Mike's reputation for developing great preparers has gotten out!
Tax School is coming along nicely, just a couple more weeks left for the first three schools. They are getting into the really deep stuff now. Mike, Carol and Linda (the instructor's) are spotting some "Superstars" already! Hang in there guys, you're gonna make it!
We''re at the Placer County Stand Down today. It's a three-day event for Veterans, all kinds of services are being provided, like vision testing and glasses, hearing testing, many medical screens, EDD, Social Security, VA services, etc. They are providing meals, showers and shelter for veterans in need. I''ve met some really neat people and , hopefully, helped with their tax questions and needs.
well, tax school is up and running, we have three FULL classes with anywhere from 15-19 students in each! Mike is starting to put together another class that will start at the beginning of October, so stay tuned.
