We dropped off 200 Welcome Kits to Project Room Key program residents living in the Motel 6 of Pittsburg, CA. These kits are part of our "A Hope and A Future" initiative created by Vanessa Powell "VP," a Survivor Leader who was once trafficked in this motel. VP, an LNF graduate, who is currently working for County government and living independently. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, her heart went out to vulnerable and displaced community members living in the hotel...s where she was sold. She asked LNF to support her idea to provide Welcome Kits with water, food, snacks, hygiene items, masks, journals, coloring books, pencils, LNF sustainability resources, and welcome letters reminding them that they are loved and thought of. We are grateful to be able to support her vision and the East Contra Costa County Community.
