ICYMI: Two projects that I have been working on were voted on Wednesday Night by the Lodi City Council. We adopted a resolution for the City Manager to work with the San Joaquin Council of Governments to create a "Safe School Route" on Garfield Street in District 4. Tonight I attended the Memorial growing at Salas Park in Lodi for the teenagers killed Tuesday 17-year old Skyler McConnell and 16-Chimera Skaggs both of Lodi. As a Father of 3 kids i can not even explain but losing a child is one of the most tragic things that could happen to anyone. A parent having their son or daughter taken from them will likely be the most painful experience that could possibly be imagined. The grief will be long lasting and change the lives... of the family involved forever. I want to send my deepest sympathy and condolences to the Family of both kids lost in this tragedy. I know that there isn’t anything I could say to take away the pain. But please know I’m here for you, whatever you need. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this awful time. Recently, I got a message from the good people at PTC, Inc. who are located on the East Side of Highway 99 here in Lodi, about the growing trash problem at Lodi Avenue and Beckman Road. Working together with Councilman Hothi, Cal-Trans, and the City of Lodi Public Works Department, we were about to get the Ready-to-Work team out to remove the trash.
