#GivingTuesday help us help those that are dealing with Parkinson’s. Parkinson’s doesn’t discriminate I met Brian Grant two years ago, he is a former NBA player and he has early onset Parkinsons. We’ve met and trained men, women, old, young, African American, Hispanic, Caucasian, Asian, lawyers, teachers, professional athletes that all have 1 thing in common...they suffer from Parkinson’s. Parkinson’s is a degenerative brain disease. It is a movement disorder and does not ma...gically go away. Currently there is NO cure but proper diet along with the right exercise will help them to live better quality of life and help to slow down the progression of this disease. Boxing has been medically proven to help slow down the progression. 2020 has brought our community to a screeching halt, our organization depends on fundraisers to help our local fighters with real, tangible and practical needs . We normally hold AT least 5 fundraisers a year and because of restrictions of COVID-19, we’ve had to cancel them all. We have also lost 5 precious souls this year alone to this disease. It never gets easier, but the fight continues. We understand this Quarantine life has been a struggle financially, emotionally, health wise and mentally. Imagine our concern when we were told to shelter in place, for those with Parkinson’s, that is the worst possible thing for them because depression sets in quickly. 50% of people who have Parkinson’s suffer from depression. Our fighters fight back every single day....EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. They are amazing and refuse to give up or give in. Thank you for your support whether financially or by sharing our fundraisers. #inthiscornerhope
Merry Christmas! Together let’s Knock Out Parkinson’s. If you can help support Knockout Parkinson’s Inc. with a year ending gift we appreciate it. Thank you
December is already upon us and this has been the most challenging year for Knockout Parkinsons and including many non profits. Knockout Parkinsons has had to cancel all of our in person fundraising events due to several challenging state and national mandates. We also lost the opportunity to hold a 4th of July Fireworks booth here in Lodi since the city decided to not hold these types of fundraisers this year in light of the pandemic. Unfortunately, costs for operating, lice...nsing, fees, taxes and other expenses to maintain a non profit did not stop. We are asking for your generous and much needed monetary donations to continue to keep our non profit moving forward into 2021 and beyond. None of us know what will happen with the current health pandemic, but one thing we do know is Parkinsons hasn't stopped being diagnosed, hasn't stopped taking lives and hasn't had a cure found yet. We need your support to help us help those greatly impacted by this disease. There is still time to make a year end tax deductible contribution to our organization. Every little bit helps and all of your donations stay here, in our community to help local Parkinson's fighters with various needs . Thank you for considering partnering with us into 2021 and beyond. Sincerely, Catherine Vicks, Executive Director Knockout Parkinsons Lodi, CA 95240 209-400-7129 Knockout Parkinsons, Inc. is a 501 (c)3 non profit organization. Today is Giving Tuesday. Our group has had to cancel all of our fundraisers for the rest of the year due to COVID 19. Can you help us continue the fight against Parkinson’s by donating to our local community? Every single dollar helps and no donation is too small. Please share we would really appreciate it. Thank you. #givingtuesday
