Finally got in my Takamiyama tegata. Going to frame the Hawaiians with their Sumo World. There other two are Hakuho and Takanomi, an Ozeki from Misawa, where I trained. He won his first yusho when I was at Misawa. The only other one I really want to get is Chiyonofuji.
Meet Mighty Eagle: David Murray You can hear the yell when his name is called, "MuurrRrMAaaaNnnnn!" And you know who's walking to the mat. Wrestling on a bad to...e and not having a real sumo match since Nationals in March, David Murray shock everyone last week winning match after match until he took home Silver in Middleweight. To us, he's a superhero. And his call sign is "Murman!!" See more

As I was making this my Chinese wife walks in and say to me, "the Japanese aren't going to like this." I assure you, I mean no disrespect, but rather the oppos...ite, MUCH respect to these guys. This, to me, sums up the recent yusho tournament in all its glory. This stuff is SO much better than the NFL or any other sport! Set to the song "Bigger" by Sugarland. See more
We've had A LOT of competitors asking where to stay, and to that we recommend these three areas. I have also marked of the location of the competition, the res...taraunt to eat after, and the Sake Brewery for the After party (Texas Sake Co.) A - This will be the most fun scenic area to stay in. It's where all of real Austin is located, and only about 15min from the tournament. B - This is the closest area to the venue and airport and is pretty cheap if cost is a factor. I will warn ya, there's not much to see along that highway. Slightly more rural and doesn't give ya the Austin Experience...but again it's like 15min to the action. C - closer to central austin and the after party. You are right along HWY35 which is the main vein going north and south to austin. Same pricing as B, again not much going on right there but you are close to everything. Fellow Austinites would you say this is accurate?
