Today is this boy’s lucky day! He was in the street, cars were swerving to avoid hitting him. A wonderful person stopped and blocked traffic and grabbed him up. He is now safe with us. He’s getting vetted today. Poor baby is so scared!

UPDATE: The baby with rat bites on its face is doing well. Still fragile, but recovering. He is getting excellent critical care at Kitten Crossing Rescue! *********************************... Pray for this baby he needs lots of prayers. Already been to the vet - we are going to give it a chance - it will be tube fed as he is unable to latch properly. He’s currently on oxygen getting warm. We have no clue what happened. He is currently in the care of a sister rescue getting critical care. If you can donate to help cover the vet bills, we would be grateful. You can donate on our website https://kitsandkatsrescue.org/

Blind kitten, Boo, has been feeling a little down since his sister Sully was adopted. My old boy Justin is giving him snuggles and some reassurance. So sweet!

ADOPTION PENDING... Sully is a very sweet little girl. She loves to play- goes crazy over the laser pointer. Sully gets along with the other kitties in the home, and she loves my little dog. She came in very sick with a upper respiratory infection and eye infection at about 10 days old . The infection left her eyes cloudy but she has good sight. Her mom was too sick at first to care for Sully so she had supplemental bottle feedings until mom was feeling better. Sully likes to... cuddle under the covers with me at bedtime. She also has an independent side and likes her alone time occasionally. Sully would do better in a home that has at least one other nice cat. She is a social butterfly and needs a kitty companion. Sully is spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, negative for FELv/FIV, and microchiped. To schedule a telephone interview, please contact us via email at [email protected] DOB: 12/8/20 See more

SPECIAL NEEDS KITTENS Boo (white boy) and his sister Sully. Boo is blind but a very determined confident boy. His blindness does not stop him from going where he wants to go - he will find any toy nearby to play with. He will follow me around the house- he likes to grab my ankles and hang on for a ride. Boo uses the litter box, eats like a piggy. He is an energetic boy on the go constantly. When he’s worn out from playing, he’ll climb up on my lap for a nap. He loves my litt...le dog and gets along with other kitties. Sometimes he will bump into things, but not as much as he use to. Sully is also an energetic kitty. Loves to run and attack anything that moves. Sully is sort of a guide kitty for Boo. They are very bonded and must stay together!! They need a home with children 10 years old or older, or an adult only home. A single story home with no stairs. If you are interested in these sweet babies, please contact us via email for additional information. Email: [email protected]

Fostering is truly a family affair. Kilo loves his snuggles. His messy milk face is so cute. He loves to be smothered in kisses. He gets so calm and purrs and purrs. This is why bottle babies tend to be so people bonded.

Another success story on a shy kitty. Jill has waited for months for a forever family to choose her. She is shy with strangers, no confidence in herself, yet playful and gentle. Jill was adopted last Sunday and is already warming up to her new family. We had accepted that she would be with us permanently if need be. A lovely lady and her family heard Jills story and decided to take a chance and help this sweet girl gain confidence. Each day she is coming out a little longer and hanging with the family. We are so happy for Jill!

Unincorporated Sacramento County feral and unowned community cats are eligible for free spay/neuter through our Return to Field (RTF) program. Our very mild win...ter temperatures mean the dreaded Kitten Season will be bursting upon us soon. Getting these cats spayed/neutered NOW is crucial to lessening the blow taken by all shelters, our foster care providers and colony caretakers, and to prevent further rampant breeding. Although our surgeries are limited, we’re doing what we can to reduce over-population. Eligible residents can bring in up to two cats per week for s/n services, which also include vaccines, microchipping and ear-tip. **Feral cats MUST be brought in traps, not crates/boxes/carriers.** Eligible cats are accepted Sunday, Monday and Tuesday between the hours of 10:30 and 4pm at our Animal Admissions door. Appointments are not required at this time. Pick up dates are generally the day after the scheduled surgery, which will be determined upon intake.

WHY TWO KITTENS ARE BETTER THAN ONE BEHAVIORAL BENEFITS: Do you want your kitten to be cuddly & sweet? A kitten left alone during the day can become lonely and bored, which sometimes can lead to mischief & destruction. Two kittens will never be lonely and will entertain each other. Even if someone is home a lot, we as humans are not suitable peers for kittens. They need to get their energy out on each other instead of your curtains, carpet or your child's face. Because they'v...e expended their playful energy out on each other, then they save the cuddling for the humans. Many people who experience behavior problems with kittens find that they go away when they adopt another playmate. What may be perceived as mischief or destruction of property is often just the result of boredom. Also if you have multiple children, it can be a lot of love for only one cat to absorb, therefore the kitten can become aloof and dread human attention. Getting two kittens helps spread the love around for everyone! CUDDLE FACTOR: There is no sight so endearing as two kittens curled up together for a nap! Also since they use their feline friend as a playmate, they tend to look at their human owners as more of a cuddle buddy- so they become more affectionate with you! ENTERTAINMENT VALUE: Even the most devoted human caregiver can quickly become exhausted by trying to keep up with the energy of a single kitten. Two kittens will wear each other out, leaving their human parent free to just enjoy them. MOST IMPORTANT REASON: You're saving two lives instead of one! MULTI ADOPTION DISCOUNT AVAILABLE!

Little Boo had a vet appointment to determine if he lose his eyes- he is blind. The vet is sending these photos and his history to the pet ophthalmologist for consultation. The eyes clear up for awhile and then flare up again. This boy gets around like crazy- he is fearless and confident. Just a sweet boy. I’m not optimistic that we can save his eyes and be pain free permanently. Have to wait and see what the consultation tells us.

They are shy with strangers but warm up once they feel safe with you. They have been raised with other kitties and dogs. They prefer a home with older children. Both will be spayed/neutered, tested for FELv/FIV, dewormed, current on vaccines for their age, and microchiped.

Koosh and Starina are available for adoption! They are 4.5 month old siblings. Starina is a polydactyl siamese. She is a super sweet kitty with gorgeous blue eyes. When she is not getting treats or being petted, she loves to chase toys, wrestle with her brother, and run and jump. She does get startled easily, and is shy so she will need some time to get comfortable with you. She would be best in a home with experienced cat owners who can give her the time and attention she ne...eds to come out of her shell. Koosh is a polydactyl tuxedo boy and is very bonded to his sister, Starina. He is playful and adventurous. He also loves the big cats and wants to be close to them. He is shy but once you start petting him, he will stick around. He would do great in a home with an older cat or with his sister. He would be best in a home with experienced cat owners who can give him the time and attention he needs to come out of his shell. Both kittens are fixed, microchipped, vaccinated, negative for FIV/Felv and treated for fleas and worms.

ADOPTED TOGETHER Jax (left) and Tigg are little shadows of one another. Very bonded and need to be adopted together. When one eats, the other eats. One one sleeps, the other curls up with his brother and sleeps. They are little best friends. Tigg is more confident than his brother so he leads the way. Once comfortable though, both boys are purr machines and love, love, love people. They will rub along your legs purring waiting for you to love on them. They do well wi...th respectful children but can become a little nervous with loud noises. Both are neutered, current on vaccines for their age, dewormed, negative for FELv /FIV, and microchiped. If you would like to meet these sweet boys, please Message us. See more
