I, and several members of the Stockton Black Leadership Council, would like to take a moment to thank everyone that contacted us regarding the murder of Antwan Burrise. We also want to thank the 300+ people that contacted us regarding a protest concerning the murder. We met last week with the City Manager and the Chief of Police and requested that Officer David Wells be removed from the streets immediately. ... I was informed after our meeting that Officer Wells was removed from the streets and will be working in another department. He will no longer be working our neighborhood streets anymore. We will be meeting with the District Attorney next week to request for charges to be brought against Officer Wells for the murder of Antwan Burrise and Coby Friday. The US department of Justice will also be contacted for a federal investigation.

I am very concerned about the murder of Antwane Burrise by the Stockton Police. My main concern is officer David Wells and one other officer that’s been involved in other killings. I will meet with the City Manager, Chief of Police, & a couple Council Members to request for the 2 officers to be removed from the streets and to have a full federal investigation. If these 2 officers are not removed, I WILL LEAD one of the biggest demonstrations Stockton has ever had! Call me if your ready & willing to participate! 209-464-8371

If BLACK LIVES MATTER so much to others then it should matter more to US that are BLACK. There are 40-50 Black being killed in Chicago every month and 50-60 being shot every month by a Black person. We should understand that God said if My people, which are called by my name, shall... humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land. (2Chronicles 7:14) OUR TIME HAVE COME, WE MUST STOP WITH BLACK ON BLACK CRIME!

Today I recommended to my Board of Directors of the Stockton Black Leadership Council that we meet with the Chief of Police, Fire Chief, City Manager, SUSD, & Sheriff. We are recommending that they don’t hire anyone other than Blacks until we reach the percentage of our makeup of the City and County. Blacks makeup 13% of the City of Stockton’s population: Out of 476 City Police Offers, we have only 9 Black Officers.... Out of 180 Firefighters, NONE are Black! Out of 45 SUSD Police Officers, we only have 3 Black Officers. Black people pay the SAME taxes as every other race, but it’s like we’re paying to be discriminated against... Give us our FAIR SHARE or give us a 4% tax deduction on EVERYTHING!!

Brothers & Sisters: Please take this COVID 19 very seriously. 70% of all black people that contract the virus will die from it. That’s 7 out of every 10 people. It is hitting our black community harder than AIDS or any other virus in history. To my black people in Georgia: DONT BE NO FOOL!! Your racist governor is setting you all up. Think about your children and other love ones before you decide to go to the barbershop, go to the beauty shop, get your nails & eyelashes ...done, get a tattoo, or go out for a bowling outing. Non of this is essential. To my black people in Stockton & all across the US.. take heed, stay in, keep your 6ft distance & wear your mask!

As one of the Mayoral Candidates, I am the most qualified candidate out of all that’s running. I have served 16 1/2 years on the City Council and I’ve served longer than any other council person in the history or Stockton.
