Mr. Gordon West Duffy, a Hanford legend, has passed away. Did you know that in 1964 then Hanford City Mayor Duffy was a key player in the formation of the Kings Players? He, along with representatives of the Chinese community and Kings Players, signed an agreement which allowed Hanford’s first community theater to relocate to the Confucius Temple building located at 514 Visalia Street in Hanford. The Confucius Temple building, located in Hanford’s Historic China Alley, was... built by the Chinese community to serve as a school. We are very thankful to Mr. Duffy’s contribution to the preservation of Hanford’s Chinese heritage and support of the performing arts. #hanford #visalia #lemoore www.kingsplayers.org
