From @coalition_hn In solidarity with the Asian American and Pacific Islander community, we MUST come together. Join us, @ocanational, @cjactionfund, @piv...otorg, and many other advocates and activists this SUNDAY 1-2:30PM at the McPherson Square (15th and K St NW). Come make your sign with us at 1PM (materials provided), and stay for the rally at 1:30PM. Tuesday's evening mass shooting was carried out by a white terrorist in Atlanta; and women of Asian descent were SIX of the EIGHT victims. That could have been our mothers, our sisters, our cousins, our family members. We could not afford another tragedy. We don't know all the answers; but we will NOT stop until everyone can feel safe at home, at work, and in their own country. We will NOT stop fighting for: Robust reinvestment in our communities; Expansive and intersectional education at all levels; Urgently-needed sensible gun control; Recognizing the American homegrown white terrorism problem; Collective strength and allyship from all communities. Again, in solidarity with the #AAPI community, we MUST come together. See you this Sunday.
