Here is another before and after from our house of the week. Bathrooms are so important- starting your day in a pretty and well-functioning space gives you a head start on having an awesome day. We kept the same layout, but added all new EVERYTHING....especially the toilet! I particularly loved how the floor tile turned out, it was a small bathroom so I went for a micro mosaic to keep it in scale. All the details came together beautifully!

If you remember Monday's post of the interior of the kitchen, this was the exterior. What the heck could I do to make it look better without demo'ing it to the ground? Paint, a new front door, exterior lights, a new driveway (oh, it was fallin' apart) new windows, and landscaping. That did the trick! What do you think?!?!

Boy oh boy, this was a TRANSFORMATION kitchen project! When I walked in, I seriously didn't even want my shoes to touch the floors! My long-time clients had purchased a "fun" project to flip so it was an adventure and if you think the kitchen was bad, you should have seen the rest of the house! We rolled up our sleeves and got our creative mojo going. After 4 months it was transformed into a family-friendly warm and inviting kitchen. The house sold in a day, gosh I wonder was it design magic? Yes it was!

We can't let #nationalpuppyday go by without acknowledging one of our most important team members, Finley aka Puppy Face, aka Schnarfles. He has been coming to work at Keeping Interiors for the last 6 years, and is now our Lead Interior Dogsigner and VP of Morale! He may not be so sure about sitting on Samantha's lap these days, but he is still as cute as his first day in the office

Being an interior designer has its ups and downs throughout each project, but today was definitely an up day. I was so EXCITED to see the custom cabinetry by Karl from Two Trees installing this gorgeous custom cabinetry! It gives me great satisfaction to see the progress from a pencil sketch to an Auto CAD drawing to reality. Keep checking in design fans for the final "ta-da"! Our clients are so excited too!

One my favorite aspects of this home was the lighting design, which highlights glass and concrete staircase as an architectural feature. Now let's talk about that bocce ball court! We transformed a gopher ridden lawn into a competition size bocce ball court with authentic oyster shells from San Francisco! Our clients have been using it a lot as we pass the days with outdoor socially distanced entertaining!

Designing doesn't always mean on the inside of your home. We also can create welcoming entries to your front door. We got creative by installing a trellis, beautiful pottery, and of course, my favorite saltillo tile with deco's in colorful patterns to add that extra personality. When I did my site visit, I was so pleased to see the end result, the new additions created a proper entry with a beautiful feeling to our client's home. Do you have a challenging entry?- DM us and we'll work on it together.

Here are a few more photos from the Mesa project- as we all know outdoor spaces have become an extension of our indoor spaces this past year. We really focused on the ambiance, the landscaping, and the firepit area to add a special, inviting area within the patio.

This beach house was a great project- it was built by one of my favorite contractors - Scott Armstrong- Cornerstone Construction. It was a new build from the ground up and we even moved the palm tree on the property to the opposite side for the patio area- we all said a little prayer when the crane lifted it over the house! The T&G siding and red-framed windows really added personality to the front of the home. It's all in the details.
