Be careful how you bank if you have a judgment against you.

Retirement is generally protected in the event of bankruptcy. This may help to cover necessities but I would not recommend it to pay unsecured creditors. Before you liquidate please have a plan.

Times are a bit crazy to say the least. I know many people are really hurting financially or worried about what happens if this continues. Just want to put it out there that I do free initial phone consultations if you have some questions or want help planning for the worst case scenario.

I have posted this before but it is something that comes up all the time.

The problem I see too often is that people spend years struggling to pay debts that can be discharged in bankruptcy all the while falling farther behind on expenses that bankruptcy often cannot help them with i.e. vehicle maintenance, registration, court fines, taxes, child support, student loans, rent, mortgages......

This is an unfortunate story that is all too familiar for many people.
