Congratulations to this group who completed the That Dam 30k at Hansen Dam yesterday (about 19 miles). I tell the kids this race is a mental test of stamina, surprisingly, even more difficult than the marathon itself. Had a few runners deal with injuries but they refused to give up and finished even when race officials kept encouraging them to take a shuttle to the finish. They all finished and we couldn’t be prouder! Year 12 in the books! We have 21 JTown running club LA Marathon finishers! It was a beautiful day as the kids made their way from the Stadium To the Sea. We are beyond proud. Shout out to all of our supporters, especially to the teachers and supporters at our aide stations. We loved seeing you out there! It was a good day to be a Panther.

Calling on Friends, Family and J-Town Running Club Alumni! J-Town Running Club is three weeks away from the LA Marathon and we need to get registered as the ace is selling out quickly. We are in need of some support. When we first ran the LA Marathon (2010) the cost was $160/student. A decade later and a few price increases and the cost is now $263/student, just for registration. We have 21 students who have committed many hours, hard work and grit to miles and miles of ...training to achieving that 26.2 mile goal! ON top of registration we have end of the season costs such as carbo load dinner, expo packet pick up, transportation, race gear, race day nutrition, aid stations and race day food.
