Please join parents, teachers, students, and policy experts at the Education Impact 2021 forum on Facebook live for a discussion about the crisis in California public schools this Thursday, March 18th at 6:30pm. Join us as we congratulate Armanii T., Senior at John Adams Academy - Roseville, for being awarded the Triple-Impact Competitor Scholarship from the Positive Coaching Alliance! The Triple Impact Competitor Scholarship recognizes scholar-athletes, like Armanii, who have shown how they positively impacted sports on three levels: by making themself, their teammates, and their community better. Scholar spotlight: Meet Rayland, a first-year John Adams Academy scholar in TK. Rayland’s mom is excited to have her son attend John Adams Academy because it is a charter school with values that aligns with our family. When it comes to John Adams Academy’s Ten Core Values, Public and Private Virtue resonates the most with Rayland and his family. We take morality very seriously. We believe to our core that living a life of honesty and transparency will reap benefits in all... areas of life. If we ever catch Rayland lying, we explain how that affects our relationship with him and makes it difficult to trust him; he has often heard us say ‘our relationship with you matters too much for us to let you lie.’ Living a virtuous life is something we strive for, and we are thrilled to have this emphasis taking place at school as well. John Adams Academy offers Northern California’s sole classical education, but what exactly is a classical education? It starts with the grammar stage in which younger scholars absorb facts and lay the groundwork for advanced study. Next, scholars advance to the logic stage, and learn cause and effect, observing the relationships between different areas of study. Finally, using the previous two stages, scholars advance to the rhetoric stage. During the final stage, schol...ars use their critical thinking skills to form cohesive and eloquent arguments.
