OUSD: Here on Election Day, this is a great story about how students from the All City Council are making a difference in our world, and working to give themselves more of a voice in how the District and the City of Oakland operate. And of course, this is not only about giving students greater power, but it's also about ensuring the young people who will be voting in all elections after they graduate are already energized voters by the time they leave high school. Highlighted in the story are current OUSD Board of Education Student Director, Jessica Ramos, a senior at Skyline High School - Oakland, Life Academy graduate and former OUSD Student Director and California State Board of Education Student Member, Gema Quetzal, plus Quetzal's younger sister, Vida Mendoza, currently a freshman at Life Academy.
