It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margarita Rios. On Thursday, October 8, 2020, her widower, Felipe, a 35 year employee of Jim´s Burgers in Altadena, received a devastating call from the hospital informing him that his wife, Margarita, had passed away. Margarita had spent the last few weeks in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), fighting a lung disease. Sadly, beginning at an early age, Margarita had suffered from numerous illnesses. She was first diagnosed... with epilepsy, and later was diagnosed with Vasculitis which caused her lung disease. For the past three years, she had been visiting with her doctor regularly, in order to try and slow down the disease. For a while, we were feeling hopeful, since her doctor stated that a lung transplant could be offered. Unfortunately, on September 6, 2020, she was having trouble breathing and was rushed to the hospital. She was admitted to the ICU and after three days, she was intubated. A week later, the doctors performed a successful tracheostomy. Unfortunately, Margarita began to have complications soon after. By Thursday night, at 10:50pm, she was pronounced dead. The most heartbreaking part is that we were not able to visit her in the hospital. Felipe and Margarita had been married for 39 years and despite her health concerns, Margarita never let that change her outlook on life. Unfortunately on Thursday October 8th 2020 at 10:50 p.m. Felipe from Jim's burger got a the tragic news that his beloved wife Margarita had passed away whom had been in the ICU fighting a lung disease amongst other health issues Felipe and Margarita had been married for 39 years leaving behind two loving daughters and 3 beloved granddaughters this tragedy came at a sudden to the family which they weren't prepaired for so a GoFundMe has been set up to help with the funeral cost if anyone would like to help with anything the family would appreciate whatever donations and we would like to thank everyone that has gone and pass by givin there condolences to Felipe. https://gf.me/u/y4a4xq
