TGIF everyone. I am new to this page as of today. I did not go to Kennedy but my dad Roy Snyder was a Assistant principal/Dean there in all of the 70s. When... we moved to Fremont in 1962 my dad started as a teacher, coach & dean at WHS in the 60s and then half of the 80s, then retired in 1985. I am a graduate from WHS 1979. He was also a World War II Veteran and POW at Stalag 17. MY DAD IS TURNING 100 YEARS OLD ON OCTOBER 15. What I am trying to do for this mile stone birthday is to get as many people from his past to mail him a birthday card. If you have any good memories, bad memories or funny stories, please jot it down in the birthday card. I am trying to inundate him with many many cards for this special birthday. There aren’t a lot of 100th birthday cards out there, so any birthday card will do, something you have in your drawer is just fine. He has a great sense of humor, he loves funny cards. He still lives in the same house in Fremont since we moved here in 1962. I am the youngest of six kids and I live a block from him and get together and play dice many times a week. This current picture was taken yesterday at our dice game. If you are interested and would like to participate in sending him a card please contact me on MESSENGER and I can give you his home address. He will not see this page or comments made on this page because this is going to be a surprise. You only turn 100 once, so I’m trying to make this occasion even more special. The Kennedy High School Makers Club has been organizing an effort to make and distribute face masks to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Rising senior..., Sricharan Guddanti, and Makers Club advisor, Ms. Kerr, learned about the need for face masks and started assembling them with the Club's 3D printers. The Club has distributed over 200 face masks to more than 60 people in the Bay Area and will continue working to help the community stay safe. See more
