The 10th Annual SF Aloha Run is this weekend, September 26th! It is special this year not only because it is a virtual run but also because we are running in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. The 2020 Run is titled "SF Aloha Run for Black Lives." The proceeds this year will go to Black Girls Code, the Booker T. Washington Community Service Center, and to scholarships for low-income, first generation students! Register for the run below! You can choose between a 5K/10K run or walk. You could simply choose to donate if you don't plan to run or walk. Thank you for supporting JCYC College Access, JCYC, and youth all over the San Francisco Bay Area who benefit from our services! https://raceroster.com//2020//sf-aloha-run-for-black-lives

A little late but congratulations to the Class of 2020! This year took a lot of unexpected turns but we want to recognize all of our students for working so hard and persevering during this time! Our MS and HS advisors have some quotes/words of advice to share to the class of 2020 in picture 2 and 3. #classof2020 #jcyc #collegeaccess #education #nonprofits

As we approach the end of the 2019-2020 school year, we want to highlight our Middle School Career Days! Our middle school advisors begin recruiting speakers as early as October each year. Career Days require the support of our entire College Access team and extra hands from other JCYC departments. We recognize that it takes a great amount of teamwork to execute these events. Big shoutouts to our middle school team for months of hard work and planning and to all of our guest speakers who continue to inspire our middle school students! Here is a little recap of this year's events! #jcyc #collegeaccess #careerdays #education

JCYC College Access wants to thank all of the essential workers who are working right now! What would we do without our mailmen and mailwomen, bus drivers, health care professionals, grocery store employees? We are incredibly grateful for the sacrifices you are making while we shelter in place! Share this post with an essential worker today! #jcyc #thankyouessentialworkers #stayathome

The College Access team took our yearly photo back in February! The photos turned out great and we thought we'd share some of them! These are the hardworking members of our team for the 19-20 school year. From admin to advisors, this team has been finding innovative and creative ways to work with students remotely. A huge thank you to every single member of our team for pushing through all of these challenges! #collegeaccess #jcyc #educators #education

JCYC had folded thousands of cranes to participate in the Close the Camps March originally set to happen in Washington D.C. The protest has been postponed but we are still folding cranes at home! These cranes are a symbol of hope and healing for our JCYC family and everyone around us. Although we are physically apart, we are always together - distance will not stop us! Join us by taking a photo of a paper crane next to something or someone you cherish, and post it using the hashtag #JCYCCranes.
