SPECIAL EVENTS AT THE HIGHLAND ART CENTER for ART CRUISE STARTING AT 4:00 pm The Highland Art Center is proud to present Nationally recognized Plein Air Artist Chuck Prudhomme, demonstrating the art of plein air oil painting starting at 4:00. He will be painting a local scene from the Highland gardens. If you would like to own this painting when he’s finished, all you have to do is for $5.00, put your name into his hat. If he picks your name you come away with an original C...huck Prudhomme oil painting. Wow! Chuck will soon open his studio in The Highland. We are privileged to welcome him here. He will be such an asset and inspiration to art in or community LIVE MUSIC FOR ART CRUISE STARTING AT 4:00 pm Don Hall and Friends will be performing on the deck of the Highland Art Center at 4:00 pm. He has graced the Trinity Music Scene for many years accompanied by his friends such as Jim French, Buddy Hazard, Miles Tralle, and others. You can listen to their great music while enjoying the Young Artist Show and watching Chuck Prudhomme’s plein air demonstration

Just Arrived at the Highland! - Kumiko Table Lamps by Jerry Cousins These beautiful Kumiko Table lamps are made from exotic woods with rice paper removable inserts. Such a beautiful soft light is cast from them. Jerry also has gorgeous wood Marquetry pieces on view. ... Private viewing and shopping experiences are available by appointment. FEBRUARY PHOTO & PHOTO MONTAGE SHOW Calling all Photographers to submit your works for the February 6th opening of our Photo and Photo Montage Show. Montage is the process of composing art by the superimposition or juxtaposition of miscellaneous elements, that may include other photographs and other mediums. Last Week to View Our Beautiful Juried Art Show This is the last week or see our Juried Art Show. Congratulations to all the winners and artists who who displayed their beautiful work. Friday, November 27, kicks off the Artisan Gifts and Fabric Show at the Highland. Unique gift items by local artists, priced for the holidays will be available throughout the month of December. JURIED ART SHOW NOW ON VIEW The 36th Annual Juried Art Show has been judged, hung, and awarded at the Highland Art Center. There were so many excellent pieces submitted but were pared down to 46 finalists. The artists reception celebrating winners will be held on Saturday, November 7th during the Art Cruise. Check out this beautiful exhibit and vote for your favorite artwork to receive The People’s Choice Award.
