In the Sea Turtles class today, they are practicing their letter Ff! They're recognizing it, writing it and understanding pictures that begin with Ff.
For Bible Time, the Dolphins learned how the people were building a Tower out of mud and bricks. They were building it tall and all the way up to the clouds. Here the children are using shaving cream as mud and popsicle sticks to slather the "bricks" and build their tower as high as they can. They enjoyed this activity a lot!
Look at the Dolphins go! These 2-3-year-olds are practicing their eye-hand coordination, fine-motor skills, shape recognition, exploring their touch & feel sensory and following instructions! A lot of learning in such a fun activity!
"Sea Turtles are showing how well they can form their letters, numbers, and shapes that we've learned so far this year. Reviewing skills we've learned is important to the children's academic foundation.... and it's fun!"
Sensory play is an important part of a child development? Sensory play promotes exploration and naturally encourages children to use scientific processes while they play and create! At Hearts and Hands Fremont we are implementing sensory play in a safe way. Each child was given their own labeled play-do container, own play-do plate and tools. When they are done, we teach the children to clean up and put your own containers away in your own labeled bag. As much as we love sensory play it is important to implement safety as well! What is your child’s favorite sensory activity?
It’s Fun Friday at HHFremont, and today the Sharks class is playing their favorite game BINGO! This month’s theme we are focusing on Land Mammals and what better way to learn then through Bingo! Happy Friday everyone!
Monday morning Bible time in the Sharks class, we are utilizing our teamwork skills to carry the Paralyzed man without dropping him. Re-enacting bible stories are a great way to help children physically see what we are trying to teach them. What is your child’s favorite Bible story? What activities do you implement to teach it?
The sharks class are expanding their knowledge through their color word hunt! The children expressed how fun it was and it reminded them of and Easter egg hunt!
Outside time is the best time! Playing is also learning, as the children foster their imagination and make pretend play come alive!
Today the Dolphins class participated in an activity about how God protected Noah, his family and the animals from the rain. Here the umbrella symbolizes God and how it’s protecting the kids from the rain, as God protected Noah. For You, Lord, keep me safe. Psalm:4:8b
This morning at HH Fremont the Dolphin class were having a blast with their Monday morning review ! Each child was given a sticky note with either a letter or a number. Once called upon they had to match it to the corresponding letter or number on the wall! Matching helps with letter identification, number identification and implements sorting skills. Games are a great way to implement academics!
It’s Fun Friday at HH Fremont, and we are starting our morning off with a letter hunt matching game! Here at Hearts and Hands our teachers think outside the box on how to implement curriculum! Games promote self confidence, enhance patience and are a good way to interact with your child. Happy Friday everyone!
