Hercules Teens Got Talent!! Do you or your friends have a special talent that you’re passionate about and want to share with the Bay Area? A Brighter Day, a 501(3) charity, is hosting their Annual Teen Talent Showcase in the Bay Area. This event is FREE to audition with an opportunity to compete for a cash prize! Hercules Parks and Recreation has partnered with Compassionate Cravings and Cooking Around the World to offer a variety of great cooking classes for children and adults. Visit www.HerculesRec.com to register for these wonderful cooking experiences.

Some of you may not be aware the City provides free sandbags, and sand, for any Hercules resident who may need them. The Sand Mounds are located on the back edge of the parking lot behind the trailers at City Hall and the back edge of the parking lot at the Community Swim Center. The Contra Costa County Health Department, supported by the Sheriff, County Fire, Rodeo-Hercules Fire District, Hercules Police Department, and the graciousness of Valley Bible Church is providing a pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Monday the 1st and Tuesday the 2nd. Like all vaccination clinics, it is by appointment only, for those eligible to receive the shot. We are asking all local residents to avoid this area of Willow Ave if possible, to help reduce the amount of vehicles passing through. The clinic will be held from 10 am - 4:30 pm, so we hope there will be no impact on commute traffic.
