Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. James 1:2-3
Holy God, holy Mighty One, holy Immortal One have mercy on us and on the whole world. A blessed Divine Mercy Sunday to all!
Thank you to those who joined us in person and on livestream!
This Saturday, April 10th, our speaker will be Fr. Parker Sandoval. All safety protocols will be strictly enforced. The prayer meeting will be held inside the church and will also be live-streamed on the Heart of Jesus Facebook page https://facebook.com/heartofjesusprayercommunity. The prayer meeting starts at 7:30 but we highly suggest arriving earlier to make sure our arrival procedures are completed before the start of the prayer meeting. Doors will be closed and no additional entry will be permitted once the prayer meeting starts. Direct message us for with any questions.
So beautiful! Worth a listen!
Archbishop José H. Gomez of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, along with several other bishops, leads us in praying the rosary in a moment of unified prayer for A...merica. On the Feast of the Lady of the Rosary, we seek healing and ask Our Lady to pray for us and help lead us to Jesus. #RosaryforAmerica A special thank you to our Catholic media colleagues over at Catholic TV, Catholic Faith Network, EWTN, Relevant Radio, and Guadalupe Radio for their support in airing this moment of prayer.
Happy feast day of Our Lady of the Rosary! The Lord established our prayer group on this day...31 years ago!
Today, October 7, Feast of our Lady of the Rosary, is HOJ’s 31st Anniversary. Because of the pandemic, we are unable to celebrate the way we did the past 30 yea...rs. The celebration would have started with the members attending the 5:30 p.m. Mass in Church followed by dinner and a program presented by Marie Saranglao in the school auditorium, well decorated by Earnest and Eunice Samson. We praise the Lord, that last year, the Parish’s Clergy, Fr. Rodel Balagtas, Fr. Parker Sandoval, Fr. John O’Brien, Deacons Dominic Pontrelli and Serj Harutunian were all there to celebrate and pray over the Community. Among those who came were Dominic and Sandy Berardino of SCRC, Fr. Bill Adams, our Spiritual Director and Fr. Joshua Lee, our former Spiritual Director. We pray that although we are unable to meet physically, we remain committed to our calling to use the Spiritual gifts given to us to bring others to know and love Jesus. We thank the Lord for the memories........ See more
Don’t worry to the point of losing your inner peace...
Lord, we live in a world where both beauty and danger surround us. We pray for all those who have been affected; for the families and friends of those who have ...been killed. We pray for those who are missing, for their safety, for the fears of those who love them; bring each one home safe. We pray for all involved in fighting the fire; especially for our brave fire fighters. In the midst of disaster, we give thanks for moments of generosity and human-kindness. AMEN. See more

MEMORIAL OF ST. TERESA OF CALCUTTA: The greatest disease in the West today is not TB or leprosy; it is being unwanted, unloved, and uncared for. We can cure ph...ysical diseases with medicine, but the only cure for loneliness, despair, and hopelessness is love. There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread but there are many more dying for a little love. The poverty in the West is a different kind of poverty -- it is not only a poverty of loneliness but also of spirituality. There's a hunger for love, as there is a hunger for God. -- Saint Teresa of Calcutta See more
Please pray for the United States and our world through the intercession of St. Michael: St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. ... Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen. See more
Don’t miss this!!! We’re so excited!
Morning Prayers Good morning, Lord! Thank You for a new day. Thank You that Your compassion is renewed every morning. Great is Your faithfulness and Your steadf...ast love, O Lord! I don’t know what all is going to happen today, and how much I’ll get done, but You do. So I give this day to You. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, Father. Energize me for Your work, because You know how tired these bones are. Awaken me to the wonder of Your salvation, and quicken my spirit to the reality of Your work in my life. Lord, my mind is filled with creative ideas, but they’re all jumbled. Holy Spirit, come and hover over my mind like You hovered over the waters at creation and speak order out of the chaos! Help me to cease striving and to trust that You will give me all I need today to do the work You’ve given me to do. You will be faithful to complete the good work You’ve started, and as I step out into my day, I declare Your sovereignty over every area of my life. I entrust myself to You and ask that You use me however You see fit. This day is Yours. My body is Yours. My mind is Yours. Everything I am is Yours. May You be pleased with me today. Amen. See more
