Very sad news to report, friends. The one and only, the beautiful - an icon really - Rosie passed away on or shortly before Wednesday, March 21. There will be a celebration of her life at noon on April 2, at the Pacific Garden Chapel on Cayuga Street in Santa Cruz. If anyone has pictures of Rose or stories you’d like to share here, please do! R. I. P. Rose. You were a friend to many and will be missed without question. Rest assured, you’ll never be forgotten.

How's about we share some memories here...could be about your favorite dish, people you used to work with, crazy events that took place in the restaurant, whatever. I'll start. I loved the smell inside the pie case from the bowl of cut lemons kept in there, hated cleaning the orange juice machine, and I always spilled the marshmallows for the hot chocolate into the ice. One time I served glasses of water to table 1 with marshmallows in them. Your turn.
