Earlier this week, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call from Congressman Adam Schiff @RepAdamSchiff honoring me as the Woman of the Year for 2020 for my community work and activism in my local community in the 28th congressional district. Continuing education at the movies watching eye surgeries in 3D with my favorite optometrist and associate, Dr. Javadian. Thank you @assileye for an amazing experience!

Our office assistant and aspiring optometrist Tanya and I had the pleasure of doing the vision screening at Tufenkian Pre-school. These children are so smart, truly gave it their best, helped each other if one was at fear and did an amazing job. They all received Disney polarized sunglasses as a gift for their hard work and effort. I am so proud that my kids kids, Nara (6) and Sareen (5), are part of the Tufenkian family. Thank you to all the teachers that moved their classroom around to accommodate us for the screening!!

Dr. Halabi is a proud alumni and continues to support the college being a speaker for the Honor’s program and pre-Optometry students. Many of her employees have been GCC students pursuing Optometry and have now graduated with their Doctorate degrees.
