Ayy mis abuelitos; I truly believe they are my soulmates. Technically, they’re my grandparents... but, to me they’re my parents. Better yet, my HEROES because without them, I honestly don’t know WHERE I’d be. Mi mami Chelo and my papi Luis They have been there every step of the way in my entire life journey and I feel entirely blessed to still have them both with me. They’re the sunshine my soul needs to be happy, and today on #NationalGrandPARENTSDay... I can’t help but... think about all the memories I have with them. From my grandma waking up early to pray with me, to my grandpa taking me to pick up my favorite (chocolate on chocolate sprinkles) donut every weekend, to having my grandma teach me how to make salsa de molcajete so we can enjoy it with our carne asada. One of my favorites though, was to going to Mexico every year a las fiestas. I remember the first thing my grandma and I did was walk to the molino together to buy masa and she would make fresh tortillas we’d have fresh tacos with panela from el rancho. Oh and fun fact my grandpa gave me my first taste of his caguama when I was little and told me no le digas a tu mamá. I never told a soul until we both told my mom recently lol Love them mucho
