If you come to the Senior Center for our lunch program or any of our food distribution programs, PLEASE wear your mask. We want everyone to stay healthy!

When are you required to wear a face covering? Whether you are an employee or customer, you are required to wear a cloth face covering while at a business, ev...en those that are outdoors. These include doctor appointments, grocery shopping, and pharmacy visits. At all other times, it is not required, however we encourage you to wear one and have one where ever you go. There are several ways to make a face covering. You can use a variety of cloth materials, such as bandanas, scarves, t-shirts, sweatshirts, or towels. Just as long as it covers your nose and your mouth, it will help limit the spread of the virus. The City of Gilroy Recreation Department is conducting a Facility and Program Needs Assessment. A multilingual website was designed to encourage you to share feedback and insight on Gilroy’s recreational programs, public parks and facilities. This project also includes a community survey, which is co-sponsored by the Mt. Madonna YMCA. Our consulting partner for this effort is PROS Consulting, an industry leader specializing in parks and recreation community needs assessments. Along with PROS Consulting experience and guidance, your input will enable our Department to offer new recreational opportunities for residents while ensuring we remain financially sustainable.
