The The Garagiste Festival yesterday in Paso was a home run. The wine showed well and made a lot of new friends. Thank you all for your thoughts and positive comments and coming by the table. Photos to follow.

Ghost Cellars is looking forward to pouring with Steve Felten of @felten Cellars and Filipponi Ranch Cellars on Saturday at The Garagiste Festival 49+ winemakers pouring 125+ wines and 20+ varietals.

Huge congrats to our friends at Hirsch Vineyards, Lioco, Krug, Qupé and Verdad Wines, Zorzal Wines, Calera Wine Company, and DREW WINES for making the Top 100 Wineries of the Year!!

Ghost Cellars Harvest Update: Tomorrow is the day for Merlot. Brix are 25 and pH is 3.53. Weather has cooled off and Cab should be mid-week next week. Cab Franc 10-14 days off.

Ghost Cellars Harvest Update: The Cab is at 21.5 and the Merlot at 22.5. The pH's were, 3.36 and 3.39 respectively. Clearly ahead of schedule (as is all of CA) but pleased with what Mother Nature is giving us!

2011 Ghost Cellars Cabernet is in the bottle and really excited about the results. One final nap and these babies will ship in the fall.

Nice to see recognition for new folks like our friends at The Farm Winery, Daou Vineyards, Venteux Vineyards, and JADA VINEYARD & WINERY as well as the old guard like Eberle Winery and Vina Robles Winery. Highly recommend his blog for any new wine drinkers with much to learn or aficionados that want a fresh, independent, and knowledgeable perspective.
