Ribbon Cutting!! @GreenJade
Got a couple patients calling in to tell me that they are sick, and would like to reschedule, which reminds me that most of the people probably still do not know what acupuncture can do. And yes, we are here to help if you are sick. Here is an article from WHO, they listed some of the symptoms that can be treated. FYI, acupuncturists are considered as "primary health care providers" in CA.

Ginger Essential Oil Ginger Root The aroma of Ginger Essential Oil can vary widely, depending on the distillation and quality of the root being distilled. The distillation of fresh ginger root can lead to an aromatically superior oil, one that I absolutely adore.... Topically, Ginger Oil can be useful in blends and formulations intended to help improve circulation. It's a frequent addition to blends for massage, arthritis and muscle aches and pains. When used topically at low dilutions or in a diffuser, Ginger Oil can help to ease nausea and motion sickness. Since Ginger Oil is so strong, I do not recommend that anyone without a formal education in herbalism or aromatherapy take it without being under the care of a qualified aromatherapy practitioner (instead, try Ginger Tea or Crystallized Ginger). Aromatically, Ginger Essential Oil is spicy and warming. Though it is especially well suited for fall and winter months, I use it all year round. I love combining Ginger Oil in the diffuser with citrus oils and other spice oils. http://www.aromaweb.com/essential-oils/ginger-oil.asp
‘Stomach’ Doesn’t Necessarily Mean ‘Digestion’ When curious patients inquire about this point and learn its name, they often assume it’s for digestive problems. Stomach 36 is indeed one of the most commonly used points for pretty much any digestive issue you can think of. For everything from constipation to diarrhea to heartburn to nausea to hiccups, Stomach 36 is a likely choice. However, Stomach 36 is used for an extremely wide variety of ailments, many of which have nothin...g to do with what we traditionally think of as stomach problems. Even more than as a digestive aid, Stomach 36 is known primarily for its ability to invigorate. Feeling zapped of energy? Unusually tired? Your acupuncturist is most likely going to use Stomach 36. If Liver 3 is the go-to moving point, Stomach 36 is the go-to boosting point. http://acutakehealth.com/why-are-you-doing-that-point-st36
Frankincense Essential Oil Health Benefits and Uses Ancient ritual usage and modern research confirm that Frankincense has relaxing effects on the human body including uplifting mood and heightening awareness. These antidepressant properties can be achieved through various diffusion techniques and topical application including various forms of massage. This oil is also well suited to help with skin conditions. It is a mild oil that in most instances can be applied directly, if necessary. Help with acne to wrinkles, cuts and wounds to reducing scarring are all mentioned by those that have used this essential oil. Most practical for skin application is to make a 1% to 2% dilution with a carrier oil or a similar dilution in an ointment. - See more at: http://www.essentialoilspedia.com/frankincense/
The Magic of Moxa Moxa, also known as Mugwort in English and Artemesia Vulgaris in Latin, is a very special Chinese herb which is applied externally and sometimes decocted as a tea to be taken internally. With a unique spongy texture and a long history of medical use, moxa is one of the highlights of Chinese Medicine! This article will focus on its external use. The Chinese word zhenjiu which is now translated as acupuncture actually describes the combination of acupuncture with moxibustion, or moxa-burning. The two techniques used to be understood as two essential parts of one fundamental approach to treating disease and maintaining health. In modern American acupuncture clinics, moxa is used very frequently but still gets far less media attention than acupuncture. - See more at: http://silveracupuncture.com/the-magic-of-moxa/
